Canyonlands National Park

Two days as different as day and night.

We spent the first one on the north side of the park, “Island in the Sky”. If it is supposed to have impressive views of the canyon below and the meeting of the Colorado and Green rivers, we didn’t see as much as expected. Snow and mist had transformed the landscape into a dream-like mistery, where only shapes appeared and disappeared with the wind. It was beautiful on a most surprising way.

We spent a second day on the south-east district of the park, the “Needles”. There was no snow. The drive and the surroundings were beautiful, but we were less impressed.
